Mitsos Zaff is a folk musician from Gatzoland based in Greece. He plays traditional plucked string instruments (baglama and cümbüş) with his collective Ντεμέκ (pronounced as demek) specializing in rebetika style.
Rebetika (Greek: ρεμπέτικα pronounced [reˈbetikɑ]), is a very recent urban popular musical tradition of the poorest class which started in the 1920's in Minor Asia and transferred to Piraeus (Athens) among the first Greek immigrants who were expelled from Turkey following the Treaty of Lausanne of 1923.
For Partisan Jam Mitsos plays baglama on Ay Carmela!
