Rocco Nigro | via Leuca

Rocco is an accordionist and composer from Salento who, starting from the tradition of southern Italy, has explored the musical territories of tango, Balkan, klezmer and Sephardic music, searching for ways to make it contemporary and relevant without pulling up the roots. Together with Raffaella Aprile they have organised together a multy-ethnic project called Orchestra Popolare di Via Leuca where musicians from India, Nigeria, Greece and Poland are performing together.
